FAQ

How can I book a course?

Our training center is open to visitors who wish to learn more about our facilities and courses. You can schedule a visit by contacting us in advance. We look forward to showing you around and answering any questions you may have.

What are the payment terms for my course?

A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid by the course start date or within 14 days of course completion. Payment can be made via electronic transfer, and in some agreed cases, via BACS or cheque.

Can I cancel my course booking?

Yes, you can cancel your course booking by emailing your cancellation request to m.petts@insideconnections.co.uk. However, cancellation fees apply based on how much notice you provide before the course start date:

On the day of the course: Full course fee is payable. No refund will be issued.

​

Within 5 working days prior: Full course fee is payable. No refund will be issued.

​

6 to 10 working days prior: You are liable for 25% of the full course fee.

​

More than 11 working days prior: No fee is payable. You are eligible for a full refund.

Will I get a refund if I cancel my course?

Yes, but the amount refunded depends on when you cancel:

​

More than 11 working days before the course: 100% refund.

​

6 to 10 working days before the course: 75% refund.

Within 5 working days or on the course day: No refund will be issued.

Refunds apply only if the full fee has been prepaid. Refunds will be processed in accordance with the timelines and method agreed upon at the time of booking.

Are there any penalties for late payment?

Yes. If payment is not made by the due date, an interest charge of 8% per year above the Bank of England’s base rate will apply, calculated daily until the full amount is paid.

What happens if IC Training Ltd cancels or reschedules a course?

If we reschedule or cancel a course, we will notify you as soon as possible. However, IC Training Ltd is not liable for any losses incurred due to these changes.

What happens if I arrive late for a course?

If you arrive late or miss a session, this will count as a strike. After 3 strikes, you may be removed from the course. Refunds are not provided in these cases.

Do I need any prior qualifications for a course?

You are responsible for ensuring you meet all prerequisites. If we determine you don’t meet them, you may not be allowed to attend, and no refund will be issued.

What happens if a course is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances?

In cases of force majeure (unforeseen events outside our control), IC Training Ltd may cancel or delay a course without liability. We will inform you as early as possible, but we are not responsible for any resulting financial or business losses.

What do we need to bring on the course and can you supply us harnesses/GDU’s? 

We ask that you bring all your own PPE to the course and if issued, your own harness. harnesses will be supplied if not available but please bear in mind that we hold a limited stock. GDU`s will be supplied, however if you prefer to use your own this is also acceptable. As a minimum helmets, gloves, eye protection, ear protection, safety footwear and Hi-visibility clothing should be worn. if you are attending a climbing course, your helmet requires a 4 point chin strap. 

What is the policy on data protection and privacy?

Your data is stored securely and not shared with third parties without your consent. You can opt out of receiving marketing communications by emailing us.

What time do your courses run? 

Start times depend on the type of course you are attending. Our telecoms courses normally run between 0900-1700, and Civils based courses start at 0800-0830. the advice is to aim arriving on site at least 15-30 minutes prior to start times to avoid any delays caused by traffic congestion. 

Nearby hotels and transport links? 

There are several Hotels close to the site such as The Best Western Bentley, Travelodge Thorpe on the Hill, The Windmill farm Hotel, The Ibis, and Damons. There are several hotels to choose from in Lincoln City centre too, which are around 20-30 minutes away by car dependant on traffic. The nearest train station is North Hykeham, which has links to Lincoln city.

Will I receive a certificate after completing the course?

Yes, but certification may be withheld if there are any outstanding payments or debts owed to IC Training Ltd.

I have misplaced my certificates; can I request copies? 

It depends on the awarding body- For City and Guilds, then replacements have to be ordered by the individual. For GQA, PIA or Smart Awards we can order a replacement for you, however there is an admin fee of £27.50 for this service.

What if I need support with a disability or special requirement?

If you have a disability or additional needs, please notify us at least 14 working days before the course. We’ll make every effort to accommodate your requirements confidentially and respectfully.

Can I make changes to my booking if there's a promotional offer running?

No. Promotional discounts only apply during the advertised offer period. Existing bookings made before or after the offer window cannot be amended to reflect discounted rates.

What happens if I don’t comply with health and safety rules?

A health and safety induction is provided at the start of every course. Failure to follow these safety guidelines may result in you being asked to leave the site without a refund.
